confessions

forgive me. i have sinned.

yesterday i had a kit kat bar. not a bite. not a piece. a WHOLE one.

today i had a cupcake. chocolate. lavendar tinted whipped cream icing. i sliced it in half.... then ate it. the WHOLE thing.

i feel ever so guilty and bad. i told a friend about it and her outlook is this:

no matter how much you are eating now, it's still way way less than before. you're gonna lose. it's gonna come off. bad choices or good ones, it's going whether you like it or not. and it'll go even more once you start working out more and get some fills.

is she right and i'm wrong? or am i just wrong for eating the naughty goodies?

i can't stand how guilty i feel when i eat something bad.

i also realized last night that seeing people eat sorta grosses me out now. not everyone, but folks who take huge bites and chew with thier cheeks all sticking out. eating foods that are greasy or drippy... seeing folks eat all that makes me wanna hurl. why? i mean, i used to eat like that myself. now i don't. i can't. why am i so disturbed by it? why do i notice it so much?

i got my elliptical today. so excited. ready to go use it.

our house is a mess and the easter bunny comes tonight.

  1. It takes a while for our food behavior to change, but your friend was right. One cupcake will not kill you. Back in the old day, I would have had 2 or 3, easily!! You recognize that the cupcake was not the BEST choice and knowing is half the battle! Don't beat yourself up over it! :)

  2. ditto to everything that stephanie said :-) i know it's hard, and i still have a moment of beating myself up and feeling guilty for eating something bad, but now that is all i give myself...then i move on! focus on the good instead of the bad :-)
