A DAY IN MY LIFE

for lack of much else to say (no scale movements or nsv's or anything of the like), i figure i'll just recap my day for ya'll. so here goes...

this morning my daughter woke me up to inform me that her stepfather (aka my husband, of course) had left to go get a newspaper. since he was gone she wanted to take the opportunity to "tell on him" about how he had "farted really loud by the coffee machine" and that it "stunk really really bad!".  after hearing (and laughing) about that, there was no way i was finding my way back into the wierd ass dream i was having (think figure skaters slithering all over the ice on their bellies and elevators that move not upwards but sideways and through the jungle).

so i got up, had breakfast, etc. etc. lazied around for a while. btw, is lazied a word? if it's not, it is now. but anyway... then we decided to get dressed and head out into the world. and so we did.

we went and did some shopping and had lunch at the bx. the kids played for a bit. i ended up getting a super cute new purse and a hot pair of designer sunglasses! woohoo!!!

after that we headed over to the lowe's to get the materials to make the dratted dog pen. we ended up having to go to two different locations to find the fencing we were looking for but we eventually found it and all was well. or was it?

there was a minor hitch when my husband tried to tell me that i didn't know what i was talking about when it came to the fencing we were buying. this didn't sit well with me seeing as how i'm a very smart and with it woman who is the only one (with some help from my carpentry gifted sister) who planned the building of this pen. so anyway.... turns out the husband was confused and later admittted to such. as usual!

we made it home, got the pen pretty much built and what a pain in the arse it was. then it started raining when we were almost done so we'll have to finish the last bit tomorrow. in case ya didn't know... there's a lotta rubber mallet banging and bitching involved with that fencing they say is "no fuss". no fuss my butt!

i also did some mowing of the grass with my daughter who insisted on helping.

after we ran in from the rain and were totally soaked to the bone, i did dinner for everyone and can you believe i ate not one, but TWO meat pies. yeah. two whole ones! way more than i should be able to eat i think. so i'm hoping that fill time will be soon for me. thank goodness though i've stayed under my calorie limit for the day. go me!

then i was feeling way guilty for no exercise two days in a row so the girly girl and i did a leslie sansone power walk video. it had like kickboxing in it and really kicked our butts. it's one thing to kick mine (super easy) but another to kick my 7 year old cheerleader daughter's butt (she's hard to wear out!). so i felt pretty good when we were both panting and sweating our butts off and i was actually keeping up with it all. another go me!

so now i am fresh from the shower and really craving some ice cream. i'm gonna try to fight it though. have some water instead. something.

oh....and another great part about today?????

THE SISTERHOOD CLOTHES CAME IN!!!! yeah... i saw the box when we got home from the first round of shopping and i was like a kid at christmas. "it's a box for me! a box for me!!! oh and there's a wasp flying around it! eek! honey can you get it for me????" and of course he did and i immediately ripped it open and looked at everything. yay!!! so happy to get that. thank you soooo much jennifer!!!!!! I LOVE IT ALL!!!!!
