so today is monday and isn't that peachy? the day has been going alright i think. had another run in with a cupcake, but this time i only ate about a half of it. but i can't get too excited about that victory because i've come to realize that ruffles chips with philadelphia cream cheese chive and onion dip goes down really well and tastes really great. i know this is prolly a "slider food" and not a good choice, but when i saw that the cheese came in little mini pots i couldn't resist buying them. i also know that i've been taking in more liquid calories than i'm supposed to as i'm on an apple juice kick here lately. tea, too. i'm still drinking water but it's just not as appealing as the tastier stuff. who knew?
yesterday we went for a 25 minute "family walk" and that was nice. today i did another 15 minutes on my elliptical and i was pleased to find that it wasn't quite as hard as the first time i did it. i'm hoping that's a sign that each time will get easier an easier and the i will move up to 20 minutes and so on. i must say though that my calves have been killing me. literally. i'm hoping that will subside soon.
i find it wierd though that i don't "feel the burn" in any other areas other than my calves. is that normal?
i think i was a little deluded about the elliptical machine. i mean, i had all these great memories of absolutely loving the elliptical. but now on my new one, i just dont' find it as great as i remember it being. but maybe that's cuz the last time i "loved it" was almost five years ago and i could do 30 minutes straight on the darned thing with no issues at all. go figure.
my son had issues at school today. a run in with another kid messing with him and a bathroom accident. then another of the latter on the way home. i feel a stomach virus weazeling it's way into our home. sigh! thank god i'm armed with my zofran to protect my band status in case of sudden nausea. still a little nervous about it though.

15 minutes? That's awesome. 5 minutes and I'm DONE!!!
ReplyDeleteGood for you on the 15 minutes. I too have a different memory of how "fun" the elliptical used to be. I had one at home and I could do a 1/2 hour at a time too. Now I am lucky to do 10 minutes without heat failure! Great work!
ReplyDeletehey chicken! About to get the band in myself and looking for fellow bandits to check up on! Stumbled on to you! U r doing great!
